Reading the journal

The journal can be read without creating an account. Search terms and topic filters are included in the page URL. The current frontend does not add an advertising or analytics tracker.

Technical requests

Our hosting and server software may process IP addresses, request paths, browser details and request times to deliver pages and diagnose errors. Server access logs may include this information. Administrator sign-in uses a token stored locally in the administrator’s browser.

Contacting us

If you email us, your address and message are processed to respond to your enquiry. Please do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary for the question.

Merchant links

When merchant redirect links are used, the backend records click information such as the referring page, browser information, time and a hashed IP value. A hash is not a guarantee of anonymity. The destination merchant may process additional information under its own privacy policy, including affiliate attribution where applicable.

External sites

Retailer and other third-party pages operate under their own policies. Review those policies before submitting information or making a purchase.
